Stubbornness vs Focus

Monish has always emphasized that to succeed, one should clone proven methods. However, most people are unwilling to do so because it feels like admitting there's a problem with the current situation or acknowledging their own shortcomings.

  • Stubbornness: Driven by fear, holding on tightly, the burden grows heavier.
  • Focus: Fueled by confidence, letting go of the unnecessary, becoming lighter.

  • Stubbornness: Adding more layers to the filter, hearing only a single note, unable to form a melody.
  • Focus: Tuning the radio to the right frequency, hearing the harmonious sound that touches the heart.

  • Stubbornness: Clinging to outdated knowledge and methods, maintaining a closed mindset, sticking to the original path.
  • Focus: Always remembering the original intention and goals, keeping an open mind, and being willing to adjust according to the actual situation.

  • Stubbornness: Unwilling to admit mistakes, selectively receiving information, hoping for luck.
  • Focus: Being honest with oneself, data talk, and checking whether the fundamental logic still holds.

  • Stubbornness: Attached to the self, leading to distress.
  • Focus: Through meditation, observing the true nature of things.

When the mind is free from obstructions, with hope, there is happiness.
